CAT 2026 Registration Last Date Extended LIVE: IIM CAT Application Deadline Extended, Check New Date, Fee, Eligibility & Document Details

After the registration window closes, candidates will be allowed to use the edit window to make changes in their photograph, signature and test city preferences. 

The IIMs have extended the CAT 2026 registration deadline to September 22, 2026. According to the offiicial notice, candidates can apply for up to five preferred test cities.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or educational institution.
General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates must have at least 50 percent marks or equivalent CGPA in their bachelor's degree
SC, ST and PwD candidates must have at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA
Candidates appearing for their final year of graduation can apply for the CAT 2026
Candidates must complete their graduation requirements within the specified admission timeline
There is no age limit for appearing in CAT 2026
Candidates with professional degrees such as CA, CS, or ICWA can also apply if they meet the prescribed eligibility requirements

Eligibility for CAT 2026 management programs requires applicants to possess a bachelor's degree with at least a 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA, with a relaxed criterion of 45% for SC, ST, and PwD applicants. Candidates currently completing their final year of undergraduate studies are also welcome to apply, contingent upon the stipulations specified in the official information bulletin.

• Exam Date & Authority: IIM Indore is set to administer the CAT 2026 exam on November 29, 2026.

• Test Format: The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) held across 170 cities in India.

• Admit Card Release: Candidates with successfully submitted applications can download their admit cards starting November 4, 2026.

• Purpose: CAT scores act as the gateway for admissions into the IIMs as well as various other participating management schools.

Candidates need to pay the CAT 2026 application fee online while submitting the registration from. The fee varies according to the candidate's category. So an applicant should select their category carefully before making the payment. Candidates must note that this CAT application fee is non refundable under any circumstances.

The CAT 2026 registration will close on September 15. Candidates are advised to register for the examination right now, in order to avoid delays and glitches during the end-time registration.
